What it does
Screening Call Debrief reads the transcript of a recorded candidate screening call and writes a structured debrief for the project. When the project has a scorecard or qualification criteria, it assesses the candidate against each criterion with the supporting evidence from the call; without one, it structures the debrief around the role's requirements. Claims are quoted, gaps are flagged, and it ends with a clear recommendation.
Why recruiters use it
- The debrief is written while you drive to the next call — details don't fade, and nothing rests on memory.
- Every assessment cites what the candidate actually said — submissions to clients get sharper and defensible.
- Consistent debriefs across the team make candidates comparable.
- Concerns and unanswered questions become the agenda for the next round.
What you get
A debrief document with a candidate snapshot, per-criterion evidence and assessment, strengths, concerns and gaps, compensation/logistics from the call, and an advance / hold / reject recommendation with rationale.
What you need
- A connected call-recording tool (Fireflies, Fathom, Zoom, Gong, tl;dv, Grain, or Avoma) with the screening call recorded on it.
- Best with the candidate's name in your run message ("debrief the call with Jane Doe").
- Optional: a scorecard or qualification criteria on the project — the debrief then scores against them.
How to run it
Pick your call-recording tool when starting the run, name the candidate (and call, if several), and run. The debrief is saved to the project's documents, ready to edit or drop into a submission pack.
